One of the key factors for success is planning, resulting in a detail schedule with all responsibilities established and needs for customization duly mapped. Since CSC seeks to operate on a standard to be applied to all of its customers, the need for customization tends to be low, because we want to implement business rules that are common to all customers. Certainly, there are specificities that need to be respected, in which case we carry out the customization. However, this does not hinder compliance with the schedule. Before being implemented in CSC, TOTVS's Protheus had already been implemented in BAESA, ENERCAN and MAESA, though separately. These companies chose Protheus after studying the market and concluding that it was the solution that best meet its needs because it was easy, fast to implement and cost-effective.
When CSC started operating, with the adhesion of the customers mentioned above, we took over their operations and then migrated to version 10. Our experience with Protheus motivated us to adopt it as our IT platform also for new customers. In January this year, we started to provide services to the Salto Pilão Consortium, supported by Protheus 10.
