About IMED
In 2001, the Institute of Research and Legal Studies (IPEJUR) was founded and, back then, it offered an extension course on the source of Fiscal Responsibility Law. In April, 2002, based upon the action of a group of teachers bound to the legal area, a protocol of the IMED accreditation project was made as well as the authorization of the Law course at the Education Ministry. Therefore, 2005 marks the actual beginning of IMED, with the admission of the first class graduating in Law. The school also has courses in Information System, Administration, Psychology, Architecture and Urbanism, Dentistry and a higher technology course in Public Management. In 2010, to consolidate its expansion project, IMED opened its first associated unit in Porto Alegre, which offers Graduation degrees and Intensive courses.
