The Customer
The São José plant is number one in productivity in the State of Pernambuco. Created in 1917, it maintains an area of sugarcane cultivation of 16,20 hectares. It produces Demerara, VHP, crystallized and refined sugar,  hydrated and anhydrous alcohol, molasses and electric energy from the sugarcane bagasse. In the last crop, it produced 2,455 million bags of sugar and 28 million liters of alcohol - the plant has a capacity to grind 350 tons of sugarcane per hour - which serves over 400 customers.
